Yeah I'll go along with that Stewie... not so much the Sancho one but still don't know what rashford was thinking... he has taken some abolsute worldy pens... I mean literally taken the net off... and then he goes all Max Wall... if he was doing that in training I'd be putting him number 10 in the list

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
oh, and Jorginho - who missed the penalty to win it for them - also has a cunt run up. 3 cunts, 3 misses. Cunts.

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
who's to say Saka, Rashford & Sancho didnt score 99 times out of 100 in training??

what more can you d as a manager aside from practice and picking the best takers in practice?

"we lost the cup for me because a 19 year old rookie should not have been in that position"

agree with every word of that, Sold0, except this.

Worth remembering that Italy had already had a pen to win the shootout, and only a wonder save from Pickford kept it going for Saka to step up.

We lost the shootout because of two cunts doing cunt run ups, seeing an opportunity to look 'cool' when we were in a position to take control of the shootout. Completely unforgivable.

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
You know Harry Potter is a make believe wizard Miike?? Although perhaps his wizarding could turn back time and we don't have a 19 year old rookie take the last pen...

Look go back through the thread from the start.. I don't know one person that said yeah we are goona win it... I know virtually everyone pulled a face when they saw his line ups... I certainly questionned it... but it still got us to a final... it was working in the 1st half... his team selection again queried by plenty was working.. it created our goal... things went to tits in the 2nd... maybe he should have changed it earlier to try and get us on the front foot... or maybe he was remembering the Kraut game etc where we took the blows and then softened them up and scored late to win the game... we drew with a fucking good team... for me the best team easily in the tournament... we lost the cup for me because a 19 year old rookie should not have been in that position... I like Southgate... always have... I was happy he took the job on.. a decent man ... a loyal man... a man who loves his players and loves his country... he brought the whole country together this past month when we have needed it the most... and apart from that last pen kick I've fucking loved every last minute of it...

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
We probably have the best attacking pool of talent in the world at the moment.....if not then we're easily up there.

Foden, Grealish and Rashford start for alot of teams and they never kicked a ball for us this tournament

Its fine if 8 defenders wins you the tournament but it didnt. and with our run to the final and it being at Wembley......if we cant win it this year then we'll never win

Id much rather now give that attacking talent a chance to go WIN games rather then thinking we can plot our way to finals 1-0 every time

We'll look back in 10 years saying how did we play X amount of touraments and never use Grealish, Foden, Sancho etc

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
We haven't had too many "attacking" managers over the years. Keegan probably but that didn't turn out too well and many a manger had some horrific results in charge, and I seem to remember our own Ron Greenwood rode his luck on the way to the 82 Finals. The only two I can remember who were "making progress" was probably Venables and Hoddle and the FA clearly didn't like Venables and Hoddle shot himself in the foot. Under Sven there were some decent performances but playing Paul Scholes as a left winger was just silly!

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
I dont think Southgate will go, in fact id give him the WC.....but if not Lampard or Howe id be looking at. Lampard did well at Derby and then started off like a train at Chelsea. He'd be respected by all the players and would know alot of the current squad. If Steve Holland can be kept (who I think is the brains behind it all football wise) then yeah why not Lamps......Southgate fails to win the WC its time to give someone else a shot.......he has already had 2 fantastic opportunities and fucked both of them up with a whimper

Southgate did many strange decisions, Trippier at left back, Sancho not kicking a ball, Mount playing virtually all the tournament after doing fuck all, not taking Lingard which contributed to the Mount situation, taking Rice off in the final, then finally.....Saka at 5......Grealish subbed on then off, and only 1 start all tournament.......

He plotted his way to the final, we didnt particularly play well....all that attacking talent and we never looked great going forward........but you forgive him if he wins the final.......but the 2nd half display was so bad that people should be questioning the manager

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
the only british managers that would suit the current talented crop of players we have are potter & rodgers. at least they'd let the players express themselves, unlike that robotic cunt southgate

Rice was brilliant in the final... the amount of running he did he looked to me as he was emptied... might have been wrong but didn't have a problem with that sub...

What you mean the strange decisions that got us to the final... you know our best Euro tournament ever??

No chance Southgate will get the elbow.

If he did i'd get Antonio Conte in.

"Id be looking at Lampard to come in"

the abject failure of a manager? who spent his entire England career in a divided dressing room full of cliques? who never got beyond a quarter final? who STILL blames the England managers and not himself for the fact he didn't like people he played with?

no thanks. I'd take 20 years of Southgate over one minute of that.

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
All the racism stuff has ensured Southgate has been let off the hook big time

Hardly anyone is questioning one of his many strange decisions over the tournament......or the fact that the team didnt particularly played that well......or we bottled being 1-0 at HT in our biggest game for years and years AGAIN

Id be looking at Lampard to come in, i just dont think Southgate has it in him to WIN

SurfaceAgentX2Zero 12:24 Wed Jul 14
Re: Official Euro 21 thread
Rice got hooked once to avoid a second yellow, once when we were "(3?) up and once right at the end of a game to give him a breather.

The only baffling one is the final. And that is very baffling

or maybe they see/know something we dont about Rice and his fitness?

Agree Pony. He subbed Rice for Henderson every game regardless of the score for no reason except to get Henderson on. It mostly made us worse too.

You know the people who are bothered the most; those that are at such pains to tell you how unbothered they are.

Dandy PEE WEE Lyon tops that particular tree.

Re: Official Euro 21 thread
to be fair, Henderson has been a very good player over a number of years and is captain of the premier league captains, he (and Mark NOBLE) are the ones they all go to. To that extent, he's the most natural leader in the group.

He isn't the captain of England because he, rightly, isn't guaranteed a starting BERTH. He was absolutely shit on Sunday, but he was good against the Danes when he came on.

Like others, I don't understand why he came on for Rice. Nothing against Phillips at all, but that was the obvious change for me, if one was needed.
